Riverhill Country Club Director of Tennis Garry Nadebaum has returned from Mexico City where he won the Gold medal in the (ITF) International Tennis Federation World Masters Championships Men’s 55’s Doubles for a second straight year and his third world championship win. After representing Australia for the 11th straight year at the ITF World Masters Team Championships the previous week where the Australian team finished 5th place only losing to eventual winner Spain, Garry and his partner Eoin Collins from Houston won 4 tough matches before defeating Nuno Delfino (Portugal) and Marcelo Amaro de Silveira Maciel (Brazil) 6-3 6-1 to the claim the title. Garry had previously won a Gold medal in 2018 in the Men’s 50’s doubles held in Ulm Germany and last year, 2023 Men’s 55’s doubles in Lisbon Portugal and now is a 3-time ITF World Maters Tour Champion with Mexico City 2024. Garry Nadebaum also won 3 rounds of singles before being defeated in the singles round of 16 , 6/3 5/7 5/7 in a 4-hour battle to Spaniard Javier Linares Corral .
In the latest ITF World Masters Tour Rankings Garry Nadebaum is ranked #1 in the Men’s 55s Doubles and #13 in Men’s 55’s singles.
