Garry Nadebaum Wins USTA National ’45s Grass Courts Singles and Doubles

Riverhill Country Club Tennis Director Garry Nadebaum took two gold balls with singles and doubles title wins at the USTA National Men’s 45’s Grass Courts Tennis Championships held last week at The Germantown Cricket Club in Philadelphia, PA. This year Garry Nadebaum was seeded #1 after winning the tournament in 2012 and this year won 5 rounds of singles all in straight sets. In the semi finals he beat #4 seed and doubles partner Willie Alumbaugh (Kansas)  6/4,6-0 and the finals he won 6-2,6-4, beating Jeffrey Layman (Allegheny Mountains).

Garry Nadebaum then teamed up with Willie Alumbaugh (Kansas) and were seeded #1in the doubles. In the doubles Nadebaum/ Alumbaugh won 4 rounds of doubles defeating Robert Labriola (Southern Region)/ John Dokken (Virginia) 6-2,6-4 in the finals in a good match.

This was a great week of tennis for the Riverhill Country Club Tennis Director winning the USTA National Men’s 45’s Grass Courts Tennis Championships singles title for a second straight year and adding The USTA National Men’s 45’s Grass Courts Tennis Championships doubles title to his list of many National championship wins.
