Kerrville Tennis Director Wins National Grass Court Championships
Garry Nadebaum, the Tennis Director at Riverhill Country Club in Kerrville, Texas won the USTA National Men’s 45 & 50 Grass Court Championship held from Aug. 27- Sept. 2, at the Germantown Cricket Club in Philadelphia. Nadebaum defeated Robert Labriola of Waccacuc, N.Y., 6-4, 6-3 to claim the title. He also finished as a runner up in the Men’s Doubles with Douglas Elly of Springfield, Mo., losing 6-4, 7-6 (4). At Riverhill, with six Plexipave hard courts and four lighted courts, Nadebaum works with beginners, high school, national and collegiate champions and ATP Pro players. He has been a USPTA Pro 1 since 1991. As of Monday (Sept. 10), he is ranked No. 1 in Australia Men’s 45’s singles, No. 19 in ITF World 45’s singles and No. 9 in ITF doubles.
